I know these photos aren't the prettiest you've ever seen, but I wanted to document our little Valentine's date. Sometimes it's good not to worry about getting the best photo and just live life. My man took me out for a some hibachi for our date and got me a gorgeous watch! He is far too good to me. Also, please note that I do not have a baby bump in the photo above...it's just a food baby. I did have a cute belt on, but it (ahem) had to go. They give you way too much food at those hibachi places...I couldn't help it. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day! I've always loved this holiday so much. :) I think it's a beautiful thing to celebrate love. We should do it more often, and not just because of all the chocolate (although, I do love any reason for chocolate). There is a lot of cheesy, mushiness on Valentine's Day, but true love is a lot more than heart-shaped biscuits. It's a commitment, not a feeling. The people I know love me most are the ones who've made a promise to be there no matter what, even when I'm not easy to love. Same goes for those I love. Jesus is our example.

I'll be the first to admit that I love everything about journaling, from buying cute notebooks to the process of putting thoughts on paper. I've been journalling consistently for over 15 years now. It's therapeutic for me. Somehow I am more free be honest  with myself and with the Lord on paper. This is what I'd write in my journal today...

The weather has been so odd this winter. One day it's warm and the next it's bitterly cold. I'm so over it. Our pilot (it keeps our gas heater going...I don't really know about that kind of thing) seems to go out on the coldest days. Let me tell you, it's really wonderful to get out of bed, step on the hardwood floors and have your feet frozen instantaneously. (Sarcasm) Spring, please come to me soon! There's a few flowers blooming in our yard. That's a good sign right? To chase away the winter blues I pulled out these photos. They're from when my sister and I visited one of our favorite spots back home...and it was actually warm! In Florida there is sunshine and green vegetation all year round. Winter is actually quite lovely. It's summer that's the beast! These images make me long for springtime and all it's delights. I've had them sitting untouched on my computer for a while now. I guess the longer I'm a photographer, the weirder it seems posting personal photos. Oh well! I do love the ones of my sweet sister though. I feel warmer just looking at them! ;)
